Most people find the success of others inspiring. Seeing positive changes in someone else often provides the final push that encourages us to take control of our health. And since a picture is worth a thousand words, one of the most powerful ways to inspire ourselves is by looking at before and after pictures of real people.
Abraham Renner, our partner in Mexico, has seen the way patient’s lives have been positively impacted by the Spatz3 adjustable gastric balloon. In order to help others learn about how our balloon can improve their health and help them lose weight without surgery, Renner launched a social media promotion that allows patients to tell their own success stories.
Physicians who have been treating patients with the Spatz3 adjustable gastric balloon are being asked to encourage current or past patients to post about their experience with the balloon, including before and after pictures, on their Facebook page. Renner is offering a prize to the patient whose post has the most Likes on Facebook.
A typical Facebook post is this one by Monki Pedraza, pictured above. Originally written in Spanish, Pedraza’s post said that she’s been using the balloon for six months and has lost 17 Kg (37 pounds), an improvement she says “definitely changed my life.” She thanks Dr. Jonatan Elihu Pedraza Tinoco and reminds him, with four emoji kisses, that “I don’t need those 17 kilos that I’ve lost.” Pedraza’s post has already gotten 54 comments and 179 likes in just four days
Patients are asked to include the hashtag #spatz3 so others can follow along and find the posts and pictures. The winner will be announced on July 15, during a medical conference on obesity in Mexico.
Whenever you’re inspired to take control of your health, take a look at the Spatz3 adjustable gastric balloon to see how it can help you meet your personal wellness goals.
